Terms of Service

Updated as of April 28, 2023Turnaround TimePlease let me know if there is a deadline that needs to be met with your commission. Depending on the complexity of the image and how close the deadline is, a rush fee may be applied.Based on the commission complexity, the time needed to complete it may range anywhere from a few hours to 10 weeks. I will do my best to complete it in a timely manner without rushing details. Time may also be extended if there are extenuating circumstances. This is also dependent on communication flow, especially if painting OCs or highly detailed images.PaymentAll payments will be made in USD via an online invoice. Trades are not accepted. It will be sent via email once I have all the reference material (if an OC) and we have reached an agreement on the details of the painting. Basic skeleton sketches will be sent to get a "feel" for the image.Commissions that total more than $70 USD may be paid half upfront/half at completion if you so wish. Once initial payment has been received I will begin in depth work. The final image(s) will not be delivered until the remainder of the payment has been made.Major revisions of the final product after the detail sketch may incur additional charges at my discretion. A limited number of small revisions will be made free of charge. Major revisions include changing poses, wardrobe change, large background elements, etc. Minor revisions include color adjustments, adding/removing small details, changing element placement (without changing perspective), etc.If the commission is a dakimakura, I can also handle the ordering and manufacturing of the actual pillow case. This may be the cost effective option depending on what size and material you want. For full transparency, you will only be charged for the cost of manufacturing, shipping, taxes (if any) and a small brokerage fee. There are no refunds once the deposit has been paid or after the final images have been delivered.Commission progressProgress images will be periodically sent to the commissioner for larger pieces, particularly if any confirmation on details is needed. Major revisions are only possible to make in the early stages, up until basic underpainting has been done. After that stage, revisions become increasingly difficult to make. Minor revisions may be requested up until final image(s) have been approved. The finished product will be sent once approval has been made and all payment has been cleared. The final images and any WIPs will be made available in a cloud folder for 30 days, after which it will be archived. It is the commissioner's responsibility to download all the material they want beforehand. The number of progression updates sent will vary depending on the complexity and platform used. Instant messaging on social media platforms will receive faster and more frequent updates than email.Upgrading CommissionsIf during the commission process you decide you'd like to upgrade into a higher tier, just let me know via our correspondence. This can only be done within a specific category (bust, half-body, full-body.)The upgrade price is the difference between the two tiers, i.e. a clean bust sketch to a monochrome bust sketch would be 10 USD. If upgrading from a sketch to a painting, a 20% surcharge may be applied if the clean sketch has already been completed, ie. clean mono sketch to mono bust painting would be 20-24 USD. Extra details such as complex backgrounds and complex props will also be included in the upgrade price.A second invoice will be sent (if the first has already been paid upfront) or the original invoice will be updated to reflect the new price.Rights of UsageI, as the Creator:Will retain full ownership and copyright of the final image(s).May use the final product and any progress work on social media sites.May use the final product and any progress work on my portfolio to showcase my ability. If you would like the commission to remain totally private, please let me know before I begin any work on it.
